Tralee Beach – Benderloch

An attractive quiet beach, with shingle at one end and sand at the other. Its a short walk by a signposted footpath from Benderloch, where there is a car park, cafe and shop.

Beinn Lora – Benderloch

Walking up Beinn Lora there are two fairly steep paths (starting from Benderloch village) which have rough surfaces in places, leading up through the forest to give excellent panoramic views to the west over the sea and islands.

Scottish Sealife Sanctuary – Barcaline

This is the home to a spectacular aquarium as well as Scotland’s only working Seal Hospital. Nowadays it rescues up to 20 seal pups. Once pups are well enough to return to the wild they are released, or the staff provide a new home at the Sanctuary.

Castle Stalker – Port Appin

Along with Kilchurn, this is one of Scotland’s most picturesque castles. The castle is privately owned with a limited number of tours each year – these can be arranged by prior appointment.
