Ceo Mara Croft B&B is an architect designed, family run, bed and breakfast situated on a small croft in the picturesque West Highland village of Taynuilt, near Oban. A luxurious bed and breakfast with spectacular views over Loch Etive and mountains offering relaxing getaway with a high standard of accommodation.

Due to the covid19 pandemic we have completed a risk assessment and have made adjustments as to how we work, how we interact with guests and how we maintain the level of service our guests expect. Be assured that our welcome will be warm and your peace of mind is top of our agenda.

We have enhanced our already stringent cleaning routine. Prior to arrival guest rooms will be rigorously cleaned and sanitised with emphasis on frequent touch areas such as door handles, light switches, remote controls, clothes hangers and hairdryers. All our bedding is washed commercially off-site using covid19 compliant processes.

Bedrooms

Each room has underfloor heating, a flat-screen TV with DVD player, luxury bedding and a wardrobe. Rooms come with an en-suite, fitted with a power shower. For your comfort, you will find free toiletries and a hairdryer.


Living room & Dining area

Guests have use of their own living room and dining area, from where they can relax and take in loch and mountain views throughout their stay.

Currently offering ‘room only’ option with complimentary cereals, tea, coffee and juice.

We offer a self-service breakfast which includes a selection of cereals, muesli & granola, nuts, seeds & dried fruits, fresh fruit salad, porridge, homemade yoghurt, homemade bread, fresh croissants & pastries, homemade preserves, cold meats, scrambled eggs, Scottish smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, choice of juices, selection of teas & fresh coffee each morning.

Ceo Mara Croft is in a beautiful location overlooking Airds Bay. Guests can enjoy various activities in the surrounding areas, including a visit to Historic Scotland’s Bonawe Iron Furnace, walking, cycling, golfing and fishing. Oban, known as the Seafood Capital of Scotland, is 15-20 mins drive from Ceo Mara Croft, and the departure point for ferry trips to the Isle of Mull and other west coast islands. Inveraray is a 40 min drive, home to an 18th-century jail which is now a visitor attraction, and the impressive Inveraray Castle. The nearest airport is Glasgow Airport, 2 hours drive and 76 miles from Ceo Mara Croft.

This was just an incredible treat of a place! Wonderful property looking onto a loch, built by the friendly helpful owners. Everything was just right; fresh flowers here & there, little jars of Scottish shortbread and Scotch tablet,  gorgeous locally made artisanal soaps & body lotions, scrumptious breakfast, understatedly modern stylish & high-end interiors with top quality linens etc: all just wonderful.
